Earache

Earache is a common malady, especially in young children who are highly susceptible to inner ear infections.

Not all earaches indicate ear infections, however; they can be caused by a cold, water in the ear (“swimmer’s ear”), and sometimes in combination with a toothache, especially molars or the wisdom teeth.

Antibiotics are becoming less effective in the treatment of inner ear infections, so many people are returning to natural remedies, or homeopathic treatment.

Many causes exist for inner ear infections, but the most common is the infection of the inner ear by other bacteria or virus such as those causing colds and other viral or bacterial infections.

Home Remedies for Earache:

Peroxide:

Placing a couple of drops of peroxide into the ear canal can help in the treatment of swimmer’s ear.

For those who are highly susceptible to this condition, putting the peroxide into the ear before swimming and inserting earplugs can often prevent swimmer’s ear from occurring.

Collodial Silver:

Though we don’t often think of silver to treat an earache, it is actually a very power natural antibiotic.

This natural remedy destroys many infectious microbes, not the least of which includes bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Silver itself is non-toxic and kills germs better than anything else we have.

Collodial silver is a catalyst and works by disabling the particular enzyme that one-cell bacterium, fungi and viruses need in order to survive, thus causing them to starve and die.

Without the presence of the enzyme that controls the oxygen metabolism of the germs, they cannot survive and die of starvation.

A few drops of Collodial silver in the ear canal once a week will help prevent ear infections.

If you already have an infection, colloidal silver is one of the effective home remedies for this malady. The first thing you want to do is perform the hydrogen peroxide rinse: fill the entire ear canal with hydrogen peroxide. If it bubbles, allow it to remain in the ear until it stops. If it doesn’t stop after five minutes, drain the hydrogen peroxide and replace with a fresh dose. Repeat the procedure until the bubbling stops, and then drain the ear completely. Dry the ear canal with a tissue, and wait about fifteen minutes for it to completely dry before placing a few drops of colloidal silver into the ear canal. Leave the solution in place about three minutes before allowing it to drain. You also need to take an oral dosage of one teaspoon four times a day on an empty stomach.

Although other natural remedies for earaches may be available, these appear to be more common and highly publicized.

It is that a natural remedy for any ailment will far surpass that of manufactured antibiotics that are overused and causing the body to build immunity to the medications.
