Our bodies are amazing. They can heal themselves of various problems if given the right tools. No matter how poorly you have cared for yourself, it's possible to reverse a surprising amount of damage by changing your lifestyle and getting all the nutrients your body needs.

In 2001, I was a terrible mess. My health worsened when I began experiencing side effects from the medication. Doctors had prescribed. In desperation, I resolved to reduce my stress, give my body a break, and treat my body naturally to assist in healing.

I DO believe in Doctors and medical science. If I'm sick or my children are sick, I'm in my Doctor's office ASAP. But I also believe in nutrition, common sense, and trying natural and gentle ways to help support, comfort and heal my body.

You may not be aware that many- if not most- prescription medications are based on vitamins, minerals, juices, teas, and herbs. The power of good nutrition and the medicinal properties of food and supplements can keep you healthy and allow you to live a long and vibrant life.

A healthy lifestyle means avoiding candy bars, ho-hos, ding-dongs, chips, soda, and processed foods. Avoid nitrates and other additives. Eat food that is close to the way nature made it. Get plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables- vibrant and colorful foods that are nutrient-dense— Crunchy, nutty whole wheat bread. I'm sure you are getting the picture.

Supplements are just that- To supplement (not replace) the nutrition from good food. Eating whole foods, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and common sense health practices are part of my "prescription" for a healthy life.

Good nutrition, home remedies, and natural cures using aromatherapy, herbs, vitamins, minerals, essential oils, teas, juices, and supplements work to avoid illness and the Doctor's office in the first place.
