Healing

Healing is the process which the body uses to get rid of any injuries or infections that affect it. This can be used in both the physical and non-physical sense.

Physical injuries are those where trauma or impact has resulted in tissue being damaged, as in the case of cuts or wounds.

Non-physical healing generally refers to fighting off bacterial or viral infections that interfere with normal bodily functions.

With physical injuries, healing takes place in the form of regeneration or repair of damaged or affected cells. In most cases, the body is able to regenerate cells. This basically involves replacing the old, damaged cells with new ones.

For example, a cut in the skin means that skin cells have been damaged, and the body will simply create new skin cells to replace the old ones.

With certain tissues, however, such as the cartilage found in the knee, the cells cannot be replaced. They must be repaired, through the production of scar tissues.

Non-physical healing involves the removal of pathogenic organisms by the body, both bacterial and viral.

This process involves the elimination of disease-causing organisms by the cells of the immune system, which either physically engulf and break down pathogens, or create antibodies to combat them.

Natural Cures for Healing:

Physical Healing:

When it comes to physical healing, the most effective method of ensuring proper healing is the use of antiseptics.

Antiseptics refer to compounds that are able to eliminate bacteria. They are usually found either in ointment, cream, or liquid form, and are available at any drugstore or pharmacy.

Antiseptics should be applied to wounds to keep them free of bacteria that could cause infection and allow the wound to heal faster.

This way, the body needs to expend less energy fighting off bacteria during the healing process allowing it to proceed faster.

Non-Physical Healing:

With non-physical healing, the most effective home remedy is rest.

This is because the problem can only be properly dealt with by the body’s immune system, and the best way to boost the efficiency of the immune system is to give it plenty of energy.

Anti-bacterial and anti-viral medications are also available over-the-counter, and these should be used to aid the body in its efforts to heal itself.

Vitamins are also a good aid to healing, as they provide essential minerals and nutrients that the immune system requires to function at optimum levels.
