Dementia can be emotionally painful for the people suffering from it, as well as the people who care about them.

Higher intake of foods rich in vitamin E may modestly reduce long-term risk of dementia and AD. A recent study indicates that a higher baseline intake of vitamin E is associated with lower long-term risk of dementia. The study adjusted for age, education, apolipoprotein E4 genotype, total energy intake, alcohol intake, smoking, body mass index, and use of supplements.

Almonds:

As almonds contain many nutrients, they are an excellent food source in general.

A concentration of Vitamin E is contained within almonds, place a handful of almonds in water to soak overnight, then peel and eat before anything else.

This is to be done each and every morning as it will help to build up the strength of the brain and therefore increase the memory and power that it contains.

Folic Acid:

Foods rich in folic acid are thought to prevent dementia or lessen the effects of it as it relates to the individual.

Foods rich in folic acid include papaya, peas, asparagus, strawberries and oranges.

The consumption of these foods not only provide essential nutrients and are part of a healthy diet, but the folic acid contained within them is believed to be of great help in the prevention and management of dementia.

Vitamin C:

Vitamin C is helpful in repairing the brain function and therefore works as an excellent natural cure for dementia.

Not only can taking a Vitamin C supplement be helpful, but also eating foods rich in Vitamin C concentrations can be helpful.

Citrus fruits and green leafy vegetables are excellent sources of Vitamin C, and all of these work well towards dementia.
