The bark and wood of the Pau D’ Arco tree are the parts used to make herbal remedies.

It is believed that they have anti-cancerous elements.

Some of the chemicals found in this herb are benzoic acids, acetaldehydes, beta-lapachone, alpha-lapachone, xyloidone and chromium.
