Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is fast becoming a popular trend as many people strive to have smiles that rival movie stars’.

The problem, however, is found in the fact that dental treatments to improve the coloration of teeth can prove quite costly.

Many people simply do not have the hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars dental treatments can cost.

There are a variety of issues that can cause teeth to have a darker, less sparking appearance.

They include plaque buildup, stains from drinking coffee or tea, nicotine stains and more.

As aging happens, it is also possible for formerly bright teeth to turn yellow in color.

Considering the popularity of teeth whitening right now, it would make sense for those on a budget to consider natural cures for stains and discoloration.

There are many home remedies, both natural and not, that can make a difference.

Natural Cures for Teeth Whitening:

Home remedy choices for teeth whitening are plentiful.

They range from drug store products to using fruit to clean the surface of the teeth and remove stains.

Drug Store Products:

Home remedy products that come from a drug store abound. Whitening toothpaste, for example, can make a slight difference and assist in removing minor stains.

Home use bleaching products and whitening strips can also help those on the quest for whiter teeth.

Baking Soda:

Mixing baking soda with a little bit of salt and brushing it on the teeth in a paste form can work as a natural cure for tooth discoloration.

This simple process is safe for fairly routine use.

Peroxide:

To get rid of teeth whitening concerns, hydrogen peroxide used as a rinse or in a homemade paste with baking soda can make a difference in teeth coloration.

The paste calls for putting a few drops of peroxide into baking soda and using it to brush the teeth.

It can also be placed into dental trays for direct application that is easier.

Lemons Or Oranges:

Citrus fruit peels or the juice from citrus can help with whitening.

How to remove teeth whitening concerns in this manner, however, should be followed up with a proper brushing to avoid cavities.

Strawberries:

Rubbing strawberries onto the teeth or creating a paste from them can work well as a natural cure for discoloration.

When using natural cures like this it is imperative to follow up with brushing using normal toothpaste.

Lifestyle Alterations:

Quitting smoking, limiting the intake of coffee and caramel-colored sodas can work well as a home remedy for discoloration.

Eating right can also promote whiter teeth.
