Even if you don’t have a family history of it or if you have never suffered from any related complications, it’s always a good idea to work on lowering your cholesterol.

You may lead a healthy lifestyle, but this is often one thing that may tend to cause some people problems. You may have an elevated cholesterol due to the foods that you eat, a lack of exercise, other related health problems, or due to family history.

There’s also the matter of turning to certain foods and supplements, and these tend to work quite well as home remedies for lower cholesterol.

Vitamin B6 Supplement:

This is one of the most important vitamins and nutrients when it comes to lower cholesterol.

You should eat a diet that is high in Vitamin B6, but more importantly you should turn to a daily supplement that helps to bring your levels back to a normal range.

This should be a part of your daily routine, and it’s important to take a Vitamin B6 supplement specifically.

Nuts:

Who knew that such a delicious snack could be so helpful?

Studies indicate that nuts don't just taste good, they lower cholesterol. Eating a handful of nuts each day helped study participants lower their cholesterol by about 5%.

They are high in fiber and work to get your good and bad levels back to a healthy and normal range. Just don’t go overboard because a handful will do you good!

Cinnamon and Honey:

This is a home remedy for lower cholesterol that you may have already performed without realizing it.

In this instance, you take a few cinnamon sticks and boil them in water, and then once cooled a bit you add some honey.

This beverage should be consumed right away and can work quite well, and it makes for a nice soothing natural cure in the process.
