Hair Color Removal

Women and men alike have become fascinated with hair dyes in recent years.

Not only do hair colors give you an entirely new look but they also help in maintaining your competitive edge in the social scene, where attractiveness and youthful appearance do matter. However, not everyone who tried coloring their hair got the results that they wanted.

Although the instructions were exactly followed as they are written, hair coloring disasters can still happen, most especially if you lack the understanding of the basic hair coloring “laws”.

Hair color is actually the reflection of light off the colored pigments found in the hair shaft. The shade of the hair is mainly determined by the nature of light that falls on it.

Thus, your hair color under the fluorescent light and under the sun differs.

If you are less than satisfied with the outcome of your hair color, there are natural hair color removal products that can immediately correct your hair blunders.

Natural Cures for Hair Color Removal:

Before using strong chemicals that may damage your hair, you can use some natural products to remove your hair color.

Without the aid of home remedies, it may take six to 28 weeks before an unwanted hair color is removed.

Shampoo your Hair:

Wash and shampoo your hair immediately. Use a shampoo with a high pH level to lift the cuticle of your hair.

You may also use a clarifying shampoo that strips the hair color deposits.

Washing your hair using a dandruff shampoo can also help.

You may need to wash and shampoo your hair repeatedly to see results.

Vinegar:

After the first 24 hours, coat your hair with vinegar, and let it set for 10 minutes.

Continue this regimen for the next few days or until the hair color fades into to a satisfactory color.

Mix one 1/2 cup of vinegar with one cup of water to make a good home remedy for hair color removal.

Lemon Juice and Tartar:

Make a paste of lemon juice and cream of tartar to remove the unwanted hair color.

Coat your hair with this mixture, and leave it for 5 to 15 minutes.

Rinse your hair thoroughly.

Baking Soda:

Lighten your hair color a few shades by coating your hair with equal amounts of baking soda and shampoo for 5 to 10 minutes.

After thoroughly rinsing your hair, use a deep conditioner to minimize the damage.
