Dry Hair

There are three different hair types: dry, normal, and oily.

Though most people fall into the middle of one of these categories, some have truly dry hair.

This is categorized by a brittle and frizzy look, and the hair often tends to lack sheen and bounce as healthy hair does.

The most common causes of dry hair are excessive washing, use of harsh detergents or alcohols, excessive blow-drying, environmental issues, malnutrition, hypothyroidism, and anorexia nervosa.

With so many women today dyeing their hair and the daily use of blow dryers, curling irons, and other harsh products, the problem of dry hair has increased because of it.

The problem that faces women in the 21st century is whether they want healthy hair or a nice hairstyle.

That should not be an issue because there are many products on the market that offer the best of both, but you need to search to find them.

Sometimes it may mean products that are specially designed for a particular type of hair and only sold in salons.

Having healthy hair has to supersede a good price.

Home Remedies For Dry Hair:

How To Get Rid Of Dry Hair:

If you have a problem with dry hair, you may not find a natural cure for it, but there are many home remedies that will help you control it.

Shampoo:

If you hair is dry, you should not shampoo it more than three or four times a week.

Each time you shampoo, your hair loses moisture, and if it’s already dry, you do not want it to lose any more moisture.

In addition, you want to use a shampoo and conditioner that are formulated especially for dry hair.

Blow Dryers And Curling Irons:

Do not use a blow dryer or curling iron any more than you can help.

When used on a daily basis, these appliances can ruin your hair. If you must use them, be sure to use a specially-formulated conditioner.

Permanents And Hair Dyes:

Avoid these as much as possible if you have dry hair, especially those that are alcohol-based.

Both permanents and hair dyes dry your hair, and if you already have dry hair, you are going to make the problem much worse.

Styling:

Many hairstyles tend to dry your hair over time, especially those requiring the use of hair sprays to hold it in place.

To prevent further drying of your hair, make sure to use a leave in conditioner that also moisturizes to prevent further damage.
