Bulimia Nervosa

For anybody that has suffered from an eating disorder or knows of somebody who has, you recognize that it can be a truly devastating health problem.

Many people don’t realize that something like bulimia nervosa is truly a disease, and it is as much mental as it is physical. Home Remedies for Bulimia Nervosa:

Ginseng:

Many turn to ginseng as a natural energy source, but if used properly it can also be an excellent home remedy for bulimia nervosa.

It helps to properly stimulate the appetite and manage stress, which are two elements that are amiss in this eating disorder.

If taken each and every day in the appropriate amount before meals, ginseng can help to get the body back to normal and regulate the appetite.

Oranges:

Though all fruits and vegetables are recommended as part of a healthy and nutritious diet for those suffering with an eating disorder, oranges work wonders.

Oranges help to naturally stimulate the appetite and if they are eaten before each meal and throughout the day, this will help to get the system and this function back to a normal state.

This is especially important for bulimia nervosa because it prevents the likelihood of binging and helps to move the appetite back to a natural and functioning state.

Yoga:

Though most forms of exercise are not recommended during a treatment plan for an eating disorder, yoga is usually an exception.

Yoga helps to soothe and calm any stress that the individual may be feeling, and this is an important aspect of any treatment plan.

Therefore yoga works as an excellent natural cure for bulimia nervosa, and more specifically for the stress and mental anguish that causes the person to go through the cycle.
