It can be helpful to arm yourself with some effective home remedies for a bee sting that can bring down the swelling and push out the pain. There are certainly some over-the-counter solutions that can help you in dealing with the problem, and these are especially important if you fear an allergic reaction. Most people don’t usually seek medical attention for a bee sting because it’s quite common and the pain and irritation is usually short lived. If you have a history of allergic reactions to a bee sting, then it is advised to seek medical attention or at least arm yourself with the tools to deal with it properly. Otherwise understanding which home remedies for a bee sting will work effectively can work wonders. There are some excellent natural cures that can be found right in your own home, and they can lessen the effects and keep the pain to a minimum. Home Remedies for a Bee Sting:Baking Soda:Baking soda can help to take the pain and irritation out of the bee sting almost immediately. Rubbing a paste of baking soda and water directly on the site can work as an excellent home remedy. This paste should be rubbed on immediately and kept on for at least 15 minutes for the best effect. It will help to take the pain right out of this sting. Aspirin:Though you can take an aspirin orally, that’s not even the recommended cure here. As aspirin has anti-inflammatory properties, it works to keep the swelling down. Therefore rubbing an aspirin right on the site of the problem can work well as a home remedy for a bee sting. This should however be done immediately for the best effects. Meat Tenderizer:Who would have ever thought of meat tenderizer as an effective home remedy for a bee sting? It works wonders because the meat tenderizer takes the protein out of the actual sting, and this is what often causes the painful irritation. Making a paste out of this and water works quickly and effectively in taking the pain out of a bee sting. |
