Adult Onset Diabetes

Diabetes is a very serious health condition that can hit anyone through a variety of different circumstances. There are several different types, and one that gets a lot of attention is adult onset diabetes.

This particular version usually comes on as a result of or in conjunction with other health conditions. If an individual has high blood pressure or is obese, they are far more likely to develop adult onset diabetes.

Though diabetes can come about in youth or even during pregnancy, this type is of particular concern as it happens in older individuals who usually have additional health problems. This type of diabetes is like any other in that the body can’t properly regulate the sugar levels in the blood.

Adult onset diabetes doesn’t always result in an insulin dependence, but it can in some instances. It’s important to seek medical attention for any type of diabetes to ensure that a proper diagnosis and treatment plan is provided.

In some instances, it may just be a matter of cutting out sugary foods and in other cases it may result in regular insulin shots. It’s important to stick with the treatment plan that your doctor prescribes, but there are some very helpful natural cures to help with this condition as well.

It can be quite helpful to know that there are some fantastic home remedies for adult onset diabetes.

Home Remedies for Adult Onset Diabetes:

Mango Leaves:

Mango has some excellent healing powers, so it’s no surprise that we see the leaves show up as an excellent natural cure.

By boiling the leaves from a mango with water, a powerful concoction is created that works wonders as a home remedy for adult onset diabetes.

This should be consumed each morning to help lessen the symptoms and allow the individual to lead a relatively normal life.

Vitamin D Supplements:

Web MD reports that low Vitamin D is linked to poor diabetes control.

Though Vitamin D has been suspected to be linked to high blood sugar/glucose intolerance, it has not been proven to cause the disease. However, scientists have correlated it to be a factor in people with poor diabetes control.

Almonds:

In this instance, almonds aren’t consumed in the traditional way.

Here almonds are soaked in water overnight for the best effect.

Eating these soaked almonds on an empty stomach each morning provides a tremendous home remedy for adult onset diabetes.

This should be repeated on a regular basis for the very best effect.

Plantain Peel:

As strange as it may sound, the peel provides the nutrients and helpful cure in this instance.

By peeling a plantain and then putting that peel into water, a very potent drink is created.

Let the peel soak in the water each night and then drink it 3-4 times the next day.

Repeat this for the most helpful results in fighting this form of diabetes.

Lemon Balm:

A new study suggests that lemon balm may be helpful to people with diabetes.

In certain studies lemon balm showed improvements in liver metabolism and regulation of blood sugar. Lemon balm is an herb in the mint family and is often used to treat anxiety and stress. Lemon balm is available as an essential oil, herbal tea and in tincture form.
