Fruit Juice

What is Fruit Juice? Fruit juice is a mixture of several different juices.

It may be only kiwi and strawberry, or it may include several different types of juices.

The flavor is enhanced by the combination of the juices that are used whether you buy the mixture commercially prepared or mix the juices yourself.

Home Remedies using Fruit Juice:

Benefits and Uses of Fruit Juice:

Fruits have different nutrients, so the benefit of fruit juice will depend solely on the fruits that are included in the mixture.

Most fruits have a variety of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals that are common to all of them such as the following:

  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin B1, B2, B6, B12 (some fruits include more of the B vitamins)
  • Vitamin A
  • Folates
  • Carbohydrates
  • Niacin
  • Thiamin
  • Dietary fiber
  • Antioxidants
  • Phytochemicals
  • Potassium (bananas)

Some fruits may have more of less of the above nutrients, especially tropical fruits like pineapples, kiwi, and mangoes.

These tend to be very high in other types of nutrients as well as those we think are customarily in fruit.

The fruit mixture will again have a bearing on the different things that you may choose to treat with the juice or fruit.

The most common ones are as follows:

  • Enhance the immune system
  • Prevention of colds and flu
  • Treatment or prevention of bowel disorders (diarrhea, constipation)
  • Boost the energy level
  • Assist with weight loss
  • Prevention of cancer (antioxidants)
  • Prevention of damage from free radicals
  • Heart disease
  • Prevention of cardiovascular disease
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Control cholesterol level
  • Treatment of kidney and liver disease

Side Effects of Fruit Juice:

Some people may be sensitive to certain fruits, so it's difficult to determine what side effects may be the result.

In general, if you eat a new fruit and experience burning, itching, watery eyes, hives, nausea, vomiting, or any other symptoms that are not related to an illness, report it to your medical professional.

In most cases, the symptoms are minor and can be treated with an over the counter allergy relief medication.
