Our bodies are amazing. They can heal themselves of a variety of problems if given the right tools. I've spend hundred if not thousands of hours pouring over books in the classroom, science lab, reviewing released medical studies, and reading the beneficial effect purported to come from the nutrient, supplements, or other common sense change that implements a significant benefit or improvement in a persons health condition. - It all breaks down in to preventing degenerative disease and aging with nutrients found in food.
You may not be aware that many- if not most- prescription medications are based on vitamins, minerals, juices, teas and herbs. The power of good nutrition, and the very real medicinal properties of food and supplements can keep you healthy and allow you to live a long and vibrant life.
Having a healthy lifestyle means stepping away from the candy bars, ho-ho's, ding-dongs, chips, soda, and processed foods. Avoid nitrates and other additives. Eat food that is in the form close to the way God made it. Get plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables- vibrant and colorful foods that are nutrient dense. Crunchy nutty whole wheat breads.. I'm sure you are getting the picture.
Supplements are just that- To supplement, not to replace the nutrition that comes from good food.
Eating whole foods and plenty of fruits and vegetables and common sense health practices are part of my "prescription" for a healthy life.
